Position Summary: As our Sales & Inventory Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our farm running smoothly. From managing inventory to learning and updating farm software, to coordinating and implementing deliveries and making sales at the farmers market, you’ll be the glue that holds our product flow together. This role requires both the behind-the-scenes organization, attention to detail in managing delivery routes and the customer-facing excitement of farmers markets.
Key Responsibilities:
At the Farm: ~16-20 hours/week, Wednesdays and Fridays, Mid April-Mid-Dec*
Inventory Management – Keep it Fresh & Organized:
Track and manage all farm products—from meat to veggies to eggs to packaging materials. We like to keep things fresh, and that means keeping track of stock levels, shelf life, and making sure nothing goes to waste.
Count and input new meat inventory in our farm and sales software, Local Food Marketplace (LFM).
Update LFM weekly to ensure online store is up to date
Organize and store products with precision—no wilted lettuce or misplaced tomatoes on your watch.
Collaborate with our farm team to predict what’s coming up, so we know how much to harvest and distribute.
Keep an eye on the inventory systems and make sure everything’s running smoothly, with minimal headaches.
Reporting and Data Management:
Stay on top of the numbers. Track sales, inventory, and deliveries, and help us refine processes as we grow.
Regularly report on inventory levels, sales trends, and delivery performance. Share insights and ideas for making our operation even more efficient.
Box Packing Ninja:
Create the product mix for twice weekly CSA boxes, both veggies and meats, creating an appealing base box for customers based on farm product availability, and input box mix into farm software in coordination with the Farm Operator.
Ensure all pick lists, labels, distribution info sheets and more are printed accurately and on time.
Help pack boxes for CSA and restaurant deliveries with a high level of accuracy.
Pack the truck(s) in an efficient manner, with an eye towards delivery efficiency
Suggest ideas for increasing accuracy of all farm boxes packed.
Coordination with the Farm Team:
Stay in sync with our farm crew and Farm Operator to ensure we’re harvesting what’s needed, when it’s needed.
Help manage seasonal ups and downs—whether we’re flush with tomatoes or running low on greens, you’ll adjust the schedule and CSA boxes accordingly.
Take photos of your work for farm marketing purposes
Work with Communications and Marketing Manager to suggest ideas for social posts and “what’s happening on the farm” newsletter communications.

Farmers Market Star:
You’ll take charge of our farmers market setup and sales—everything from arranging the booth to engaging with market-goers.
You’ll bring the farm's story to life, engaging with customers, answering questions about our growing practices, and making sure everyone leaves with some tasty treats.
Handle cash, card transactions, and make sure our booth stays stocked and looking sharp. It’s about making the market experience as fun and engaging as the products we sell!
Delivery Route Driver Extraordinaire:
Hit the road and bring fresh farm goods directly to our CSA members and restaurants. You’ll organize, load, and manage the delivery route, ensuring our customers get their goods in a timely and cheerful manner.
Get ready to drive a farm-to-table delivery route that requires both organization, high attention to detail and friendly interactions.
